4.3.2 Connecting to a Personal Computer
Connect the [USB] connector (mini B type), which is located at the bottom of this instrument, to the USB
connector on the personal computer by using the A112010 connection cable.
Insert the connector completely when connecting.
Use the USB hub when connecting the personal computer to several instruments.
4.3.3 Setting the MYID
This section describes how to set the MYID when several instruments are connected to a personal com-
puter.
Key operation Display
1. [MENU] [S.CNT]
[010] Displays the current setting
2. [PREV] [MYID]
[001] Displays the current setting
3. [ ] [MYID]
[ ] [ ] [003] Example of the display when MYID is set to 3
[] MYID can be set to 1 to 127.
4. [ENTER] [DONE] Setting complete.
Press [CANCEL] to cancel the setting.
4.3.4 Response to the *IDN? Command
This instrument has changed its model name from “Q8230” to “8230.” Accordingly, the response to the
*IDN? command has also been changed. Note that an old model name response can also be set to maintain
the compatibility with the application software.
The new model name is set when the instrument is shipped.
A new or old model name response setting does not change by the initialization command or the factory
shipment initialization operation.
The new model name response to the *IDN? command is applied to software revision D00 or later.
