8230E Optical Power Meter Operation Manual
1.4 Connectable Sensors
1-4
82017A
The 82017A is a general-purpose, thin-type sensor used for the TQ8210 and TQ8215. When this sensor
is used for the 8230, option 70 must be installed. Wavelengths ranging from 400 nm to 1100 nm can be
measured and the calibration wavelength is 850 nm. The typical value stored in the optical power meter
is used as wavelength sensitivity correction data.
82015
The 82015 is a general-purpose, cylindrical-type sensor used for the TQ8210 and TQ8215. When this
sensor is used for the 8230, option 70 must be installed. Wavelengths ranging from 800 nm to 1600 nm
can be measured and the calibration wavelength is 1300 nm. The typical value stored in the optical pow-
er meter is used as wavelength sensitivity correction data.
Q82018A
The Q82018A is a sensor with the FC connector used for the TQ8210 and TQ8215. When this sensor is
used for the 8230, option 70 must be installed. Wavelengths ranging from 800 nm to 1650 nm can be
measured and the calibration wavelength is 1300 nm. The typical value stored in the optical power meter
is used as wavelength sensitivity correction data.

For more information, refer to section 8.2, "Optical Sensor Specifications."
For more information on the outline and dimensions, see the dimensional outline drawing for each sensor in
the appendix.
For more information on option specifications, refer to Table 1-5 Sensor Option.
The existing optical sensors 82311, 82321, 82313 and 82323 can be used in addition to the optical sensors
described in this manual.
The following table shows old and new model numbers of optical sensors. When using the old models, this
manual should be read implying that the new model numbers are their corresponding old model numbers
respectively.
There is no difference in specifications between the new and old models.
NOTE: The 823x series sensors cannot be used for the optical power meter TQ8210 or TQ8215.
