3.3 Measurement Procedure
3.3.1 Connecting the Sensor
Connect the sensor to the INPUT connector.
NOTE: The 82311, 82313, 82321, 82323, 82311B, 82313B, 82321B, and 82323B can be used in the 8230E. The
82312, 82322, 82314A, 82314W, 82324A, 82312B, 82322B, 82314B, 82314BW, and 82324B cannot be
used in the 8230E.
If a sensor, which cannot be used, is connected, Err 3 occurs.
3.3.2 Setting the Wavelength
Sets the wavelength sensitivity correction of the 8230E according to the wavelength which is used.
3.3.3 Zero Cancel
Cancel the offset by covering the sensor with the sensor-cap or shading the sensor completely, and pressing
the ZERO key for approximately 2 seconds.
3.3.4 Setting the Range
Using Autorange is recommended when performing the normal measurement because the 8230E will mea-
sure using the optimum range. Using Manual Range when using the analog output or to prevent the display
unit from changing.
3.3.5 Reading the Display
Reads the display value of the 8230E.
The measured value is calculated by the following formula and displayed.

Sensitivity correction coefficient with setting CF value
Calibration sensitivity correction coefficient
