6.2.3 Test Procedure
1. Ensure that the light source and optical power meter are ready and they are in the
stable state.
2. Set  of an optical power meter (8230E, 8230, or 8250A), which is connected to
a sensor to be tested, to the calibration wavelength. Ensure that C is displayed.
3. Cancel ZERO of the standard optical power meter and the tested power meter.
4. Refer to Figure 6-2 and connect the light source to the standard optical power
meter by using the optical fiber.
5. Record the measured value of the standard optical power meter.
6. Refer to Figure 6-2 and connect the light source to the tested power meter by
using an optical fiber.
7. Record the measured value of the tested power meter.
8. Ensure that the measured value of the tested power meter is 1.6% or less of the
measured value of the standard optical power meter.
