7.7.1 Adding a control
To add a new control, press ADD and the Add/Edit Control screen appears (Figure 7.19). The
ID field can be entered manually or by scanning a barcode; the remaining fields are entered
manually. All fields are required to enter the new control.
NOTE: If the user scans the barcode of an Advanced Instruments control, it automatically
populates the information except for expiration date and lot number. These must be entered
manually.
Press SAVE to save the newly created control.
Press EXIT to return to the Controls screen.

7.7.2 Deleting an existing control
To delete a control, select the desired control then press DELETE.
A message displays “Do you want to delete 3MA085?”, for example (Figure 7.20).
Press YES to delete the selected control.

7.7.3 Editing an existing control
To edit an existing control, select the desired control and press EDIT. This navigates the user to
the Edit screen (Figure 7.19). The Edit screen is where the information for an existing control
can be edited.
Press SAVE to save the changes.
Press EXIT to return to the Controls screen.
