No warning is given if the test result is outside of the alarm range.
Issue Warning:
Test results outside of the alarm range are reported in yellow inside the
results column while the test is in progress. Once the test completes, a
message displays stating which samples were outside of the alarm range.
Stop Running:
If a result is outside the alarm range, it automatically cancels current and
remaining tests.
Range Limit for
Action:
Select a range limit for the action based on the three options (1 SD, 2 SD,
and 3 SD).
NOTE: these options are not available if the action is set to none.

7.8 LIS / LAN
To change the LIS / LAN settings, press LIS / LAN. The user is prompted to select a user. Enter
the password. The LIS / LAN screen opens (Figure 7.23). This screen is where the user can
establish the LIS connection, and modify the various LIS settings.
• Once the desired settings are changed, press SAVE.
• Press EXIT to return to the Settings screen.

7.8.1 LIS enabled
• To enable LIS on the instrument, check the box next to the text LIS Enabled. A check
mark indicates the setting is enabled.
• To disable LIS, uncheck the box.
• Once the user configures the instruments LIS connection as desired, the user can run
sample tests and send results to the LIS server. With a successful LIS connection
indicated by a green LIS icon, when a sample test is in progress, the instrument will
indicate the pending LIS results in the LIS icon. (Figure 7.24) After each sample is
completed, the pending messages will increase by 1. Once all samples have completed
the test run, the instrument will send the results to the LIS Server, if set to automatic. If
the instrument is set to manual, the user can go to the Results database and manually
send the results to the LIS Server.
