9.2.4 Sample test errors
During a test, an error may be reported to the results column. This type of error is due to an
issue with the sample tested. These errors will be shown in red within the Main screen results
column, and the tube position will display in red. (Figure 9.3) For example, a sample may result
in a “Did Not Freeze” error. The test will continue to run to completion if one or more of these
errors occurs, depending on the action set. These errors will also be recorded on the printout
and stored in the Events Database. If sample test related errors occur the user cannot
troubleshoot/resolve, call Advanced Instruments Hot-Line Technical Service.
Possible Sample Test Errors:
• Sample Did Not Freeze
• Sample Pre-Freeze
• Test Time Out
• No Tube Detected
• Out of Range (Low/High)
NOTE: If one of these errors occurs, consider re-pipetting the sample carefully following proper
techniques discussed in Chapter 4. If multiple tests produce these error messages, refer to the
sample test error troubleshooting table (see Table 9.2).
