6.4 POWER ON Test
The Saver One performs self-diagnostic tests each time it is turned on, either from the power button or by inserting the
battery.
Following to the battery insertion a diagnostic test of ACTIVATION is performed. This self-test involves a fair amount
of energy consumption. It is recommended, once performed, to not remove the battery from the AED.
These tests are performed in order to verify the correct operation of the device before use.
Each test is conducted automatically and lasts a few seconds.
After pressing the power button, (or after inserting the battery) the Saver One will emit an acoustic signal to
confirm power-up, the control LED will be off and the following screen will be displayed:
If no error is found, the following screen will appear on the display:
From this moment the device will be ready to be used and will provide the operator with the first instructions to start the
intervention.
If not to be used immediately, switch off the Saver One and leave the battery inserted to ensure periodic self-testing (see
Section 6.3).
