Description

Use
this

measure
the
FM
accuracy
of
the
syn
thesizer.
With
the syn
thesizer set
to
an
FM
sensitivit
y
of 10
MHz/V, and
the function
generator pro
viding
an
FM
mo
dulation
index of
2.404, the
RF
output
should
b
e
a
n
ull.
The
function
generator
amplitude
is
adjusted
for
the
Bessel
n
ull
and
the
dierence
b
et
w
een
signals is
recorded.
Note
Since
the
mo
dulation
frequency
for
external
FM is
1 MHz,
this pro
cedure
relies on
the v
oltage-setting accuracy
of
the
function
generator
(the
frequency
is
to
o
high
for
a
D
VM,
and
an
oscilloscop
e
is
not
accurate
enough.)
