Description

With the
synthesizer
in sw
ept mo
de, the
sp
ectrum
analyzer
is
set
to
zero
span
at
the
measuremen
t
frequency
.
As
the
syn
thesizer
sw
eeps
through
the
sp
ectrum
analyzer
frequency
setting,
a
signal
is generated
on the
spectrum
analyzer's video
output
that
is
input
to
the
oscilloscop e.
The
syn
thesizer's
TRIGGER
OUTPUT,
used
to
trigger
the
oscilloscop
e,
is
a
series
of
1601
pulses,
ev
enly
spaced
during
the
sw
eep.
The
oscilloscop e
is triggered
on the
pulse that
represents
the desired
measurement
frequency,
and
the
sp
ectrum
analyzer
is
tuned
to
displa
y
the
video
output
on
the
oscilloscop
e.

the

all instrumen
ts
and
let
them

arm
up for
at least
one hour.
