Probable cause Suggested actions

Detector not calibrated.
Recalibrate the detector.

Dirty or defective flow cell.
Repeat the test with the flow cell removed. If the
test is OK, exchange the flow cell components.

Dirty or defective holmium oxide filter.
Run the holmium oxide filter test. If the test fails,
contact your Agilent service representative.

Optical misalignment.
Please contact your Agilent service representa-
tive.
