Remove the Sync Cranks
1. Remove the snap ring from each sync crank
bore.
2. Remove and discard the sync cranks.

NOTE If the sync cranks don’t
slide out easily, heat the
outboard housing to
approximately 150 °F.
WARNING Use heat resistant gloves
when handling the
outboard housing after it is
heated.
