What to do if operations from upper controls are not available on Aichi Boom Lifts?
    • G
      Gary JohnsonAug 3, 2025
If operations from the upper controls are unavailable, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the engine is running. Next, make sure the foot switch is depressed while operating the controls, except during engine start. Check if the power indicator light on the upper controls is on; if it's off, turn the key switch on the lower controls to the upper controls position. If the power indicator light is flashing, release all controls until it turns on, then try operating again. Finally, if the system failure light is on or flashing, immediately stow the boom and stop using the machine, and contact AICHI or an AICHI dealer for inspections.

Why does the engine stop on Aichi SP14DJ even if the emergency stop button is not pushed in?
    • K
      kimberlylucasAug 17, 2025
The engine might stop even without pushing the emergency stop button due to several safety features. The engine will stop if the emergency pump switch is operated while the engine is running, but this is normal operation, not a failure. Similarly, pressing the touch switch (bar) will stop the engine, which is also normal. Additionally, the safety device will stop the engine if the boom is shaken heavily, or the platform is pressed against the wall strongly; this is also not a failure.
