15.3.2 Interconnection of the coupling
15.3.2.1 Mating
The connector has a lever/slide mating/ unmating aid. In delivery condition the lever is in nal
locking position. Before interconnection, the lever must be moved into pre locking position.
Take care that the right polarization and coding ts to the counterpart. It is shown in Figure 24.
When polarization and coding of both parts t to gether the pivots of the tab housing will disap-
pear in the receptacle connector.
Now, it is possible to interconnect the system by moving the lever down. If polarization and
coding doesn’t t together, it is possible to close the lever, but not to interconnect the system.
Furthermore, as described in chapter 15.3.1.3 pay at tention that the locking slide is in nal
locked posi tion. Otherwise, the lever might be destroyed during mat ing process caused by to
high handling force!
The correct locking is signalized by a “click” noise and a haptin snapping in (see Figure 23).

15.3.2.2 Unmating
To disconnect the connector, the lever has to be brought
into the pre locked position. The correct position is sig-
nalized by a “click” noise.
