7.2 Antenna installation
7.2.1 Single antenna
The antenna should be installed on a conductive surface with a minimum size of 50 x 50 cm.
The surface shall be electrically connected to vehicle/machine chassis. The maximum allowed
cable length between receiver and the antenna is 10 meters.

Do not paint the antennas. Paint might considerable reduce the radio coverage area.
7.2.2 Dual antennas
Two antennas are to be used for diversity antenna conguration. Each antenna should be
installed on a conductive surface with a minimum size of 50 x 50 cm. The surface shall be
electrically connected to vehicle/machine chassis. The distance between the antennas should
be at least 1,5 m. The maximum allowed cable length between receiver and each antenna is 10
meters.
Note:. It is important to keep mounting surface clear of paint for best electrical contact with
vehicle/machine chassis.
