1 Introduction
The Remotus T-Rx receivers are designed to provide exible, powerful, and cost effective
remote control for off-highway vehicles and mobile machines. They shall be used together with
a suitable remote control transmitter from Åkerströms range of products. The receivers within
Remotus T-Rx are characterized as other Åkerströms’ products with ruggedness, durability, ex-
ibility and reliability.
The T-Rx 1000/1500 has a number of outputs designed for controlling valves and other actua-
tors. Also analogue and digital inputs are available.
This manual only covers the general installation of the T-Rx 1000/1500 remote control receiver.
For the total system functionality and in-/out-put function assignment consult the requirement
specication, interface manual and user manual for the actual delivery.
The way the set of in-/out-puts are used for controlling the vehicle/machine (for instance for
driving the engine and the brakes of the vehicle/machine or controlling other vehicle/machine
assemblies) depends on the specic installation and is out of the scope of this document.
2 Symbols

3 SIL information
3.1 Structure of the System
The T-Rx system is a radio control system intended for being a part of a wider system of remote
controlled automotive applications.
A “T-Rx system” consists of three main parts:
• a portable unit called “transmitter”
• a communication channel
• a xed unit called “receiver”
The transmitter is powered by a replaceable and rechargeable battery, and so the battery and the
related charger are also parts of the system.
