Kinetix 5500 Drive Systems
Kinetix 5500 (200V-class operation) Drives with MP-Series Linear Stages
This section provides system combination information for the Kinetix 5500 drives (with 240V, nominal input) when
matched with MP-Series (400V-class) integrated (ballscrew) linear stages with absolute high-resolution encoders.
Included are motor power/brake and feedback cable catalog numbers, system performance specifications, and the
optimum force/velocity curves.
Kinetix 5500 servo drives are capable of 200V or 400V-class operation. The 200V-class system performance tables and
force/velocity curves reflect single-phase and three-phase drive operation with 240V AC input; however, only
2198-H003-ERSx, 2198-H008-ERSx, and 2198-H015-ERSx drives are capable of single-phase operation.

Bulletin MPAS Performance Specifications with Kinetix 5500 (200V-class operation) Drives
Performance specification data and curves reflect nominal system performance of a typical system with motor at 40 °C (104 °F) and drive at 40 °C (104 °F) ambient and rated line voltage. For additional
information on ambient and line conditions, refer to Motion Analyzer software.
IMPORTANT The MP-Series (200V-class) linear stages require the 2198-H2DCK (series B or later) feedback converter kit.
