5.8 Aligning the motor
Applies t o base plate versi on with coupling
Alignment options:
– With sets of shims
– With adjusting screws
1. Align the motor so that the coupling halves are exactly in
line and fit shims if necessary.
2. Check the alignment.
3. Repeat the alignment procedure if there is sti ll any vertical
misalignment.
4. Then tighten the motor fixing screws.
5.9 Installing the safety guarding
The safety guarding is installed based on the version
5.9.1 Coupling guard
Applies t o base plate versi on with coupling
Fit the coupling guard:
– Gap betwee n coupling guard and pump < 8 mm
– Gap between coupling guard and motor < 8 mm
5.9.2 Belt guard
Applies to base plate version with belt drive.
Depending on the version, belt guard or parts thereof have
already been attached to the pump unit when the motor is
installed.
Install the belt guard (→ manufacturer’s specifications).
