C.9 Treatment Protocol
Pre-Treatment
1. Perform a thorough medical history and screen for contraindications.
2. Photo-document the treatment area.
3. Remove all jewelry near the treatment area.
4. Remove all makeup, moisturizers or oils from the treatment area.
5. Mark treatment area grid.
6. Inspect the applicator and applicator tip to identify any damage or pulverized materials.
7. Apply topical anesthetic (“EMLA”) on treatment area at least 40 min. prior to treatment. - optional
Treatment with the Colibri Tip
8. Set the treatment parameters and press the STBY softkey to switch to Ready mode
9. Press the trigger continuously to start RF emission. First there will be a “gust” of gas pressure release
followed by plasma emission.
10. Place the applicator perpendicular to the skin (90 degrees angle +/- 10 degrees) and proceed to treat over
treatment area.
11. Treatment scheme: micro-plasma spots (not lines), covering the treatment area: Pulse one spot next to the
other. The Colibri tip must only be in slight contact with the skin to exert the micro-plasma sparks.
Treatment Technique:
• One pass of micro-plasma spots over the treatment area.
• It is possible to perform a subsequent pass with light "feathering" strokes.
