CLEANING THE ACRYLIC SHELL
Werecommendhavingasecondsetofltersonhandtorotatewhilecleaning.
Quick Clean (once per week)
Onceaweek,removeyourltersfromthespapoolandwashthemdownwith
ahose.Maximizethewaterpressureofyourhoseandspraythecartridge
thoroughly(putyourthumboverthetipofthehose).Youraimistoremoveany
buildupoflteredmaterialstuckbetweenthefoldsofthelterpaper.Donotleave
ltersoutofspapoolforprolongedperiodsoftime.
Soak Filters (once per month)
Onceamonth,removeyourltersfromthespapoolandplacetheminabucket
ofwarmwater.Addltercleaningsolution(availablefromAlpineSpas)andleave
tosoakovernight.Oncesoaked,removefrombucketandwashthoroughlywitha
hosetoremovelooseneddebris.
Replacing Filters (as required)
Altercartridgeshouldlastupto12monthswhencleanedasperthisguide.Filters
thatareseverelydiscolouredandbecomedifculttocleanaresignsanewone
maybedue.OnlyAlpineSpasapprovedcartridgesaretobeusedinthespapool.
General Cleaning (as required)
Theacrylicsurfaceisnon-porousandmostmarksordirtshouldcomeoffquickly
andeasily.Werecommendusingamicrobreclothtowipetheshell.Formore
resistantmarksyoucandissolveasmallamountofbakingsodaintotheclothand
applyittothetargetedarea.
Fromtimetotimearing(sometimesreferredtoasscumringortideline)may
appearjustabovethewatersedge.Awipewithamicrobreclothwilltakecareof
this,butgoodwaterbalancewillgenerallypreventthisfromoccurringintherst
place.
Cleaning When Draining (every 3-4 months)
Whendoingyour3-4monthlydrainandrell,it’sagoodchancetofullywipedown
theacrylicshell.Usesomebakingsodaoralow-strengthallpurposecleanerand
wipeeverywherewithamicrobrecloth,includingaroundthejets(youmaywant
topopthemouttogetinbehindthem).
Hosedownthespapoolinterioroncenishedanddrainorbucketoutthewaterat
thebottom.Youwanttoavoidrellingwiththeleftoverremainsofyourcleaning
solutionasthismayfoamorcausetroublewhentryingtobalancethewaterupon
relling.
