REASSIGNMENT LAYER DEFAULTS
For convenience in programming a Reassignment Layer, please take note of the following:
Reassignment Layers #1-6 have pre-assigned MIDI Note values, laid out chromatically over the 61 pads
making up a five octave malletKAT. Use Layers #1-#6 if you intend use the Layer to use the entire range
of the malletKAT
Reassignment Layers #7-14 have NO pre-assigned MIDI Note Values — all 61 pads are initially set to OFF.
Use Layers #7-14 if you intend to use the Layer to redefine some, but not all, pads in the entire range of
the malletKAT
The other Layer parameters (MIDI channel, Min/Max Velocity, Gate, and Velocity Curve) are all identical for all
pads.
The following is a listing of default values of the REASIGNMENT numbers set for a Five Octave malletKAT.
Reassignment #1: C-2 to C2
Reassignment #2: C-1 to C3
Reassignment #3: C-0 to C4
