With the Edit footswitch depressed, tap the Kit Auxiliary Pad, and then the Backward function pad once (or use
Shortcut #00)
Use the Forward and Backward pads select which character location to change.
Scroll through the characters using the Increment or Decrement pads.
Hitting the number pads (black keys “1” through “0”) provide quick access to ten different characters as follows:
“1” pad: –> A
“2” pad –> M
“3” pad: — > a
“4” pad: –> m
“5” pad: –> 0 (numbers)
“6” pad: –> “ “ (space)
“7” pad: –> *
“8” pad: –> :
“9” pad: –> [
“0” pad: –> {
Quickly Test Your Controller One and Two Settings by setting the User Kit into Hang Mode. Then use the
Sustain 2 foot pedal to toggle between the two controllers.

6.2. Setting Up the Sustain Pedal Inputs
How to Configure Both Controllers to Use One Sustain Pedal
The rear of the malletKAT has two Sustain Pedal inputs. These are used to control the sustain (like a vibraphone)
for either Controller One or Controller Two.
When you start using the performance Layer Modes, it doesn’t take long to figure out that you may not have
enough feet to switch between layers and independently control sustain!
