5. Optional: If using the Optical Bench Purge, connect the purge line
(black tube) to the Purge Fitting on the Optical Bench.
After the Optical Bench has been installed, use a soft, nonabrasive
cloth to gently clean the joining areas (flamepath) of the Upper
Enclosure and its door. Close the door and replace at least one of the
M10 screws while completing the installation. This will ensure the
flamepath is not inadvertently damaged.
Installing the Sample System
The analyzer is supplied with fittings for Sample, Vent, and Zero/
Aspirator Drive Gas line connections (Figure 3-3). Depending on the
application, the Sample Inlet and Vent Outlet fittings are located on the
backpan or on the Measuring Cell. Refer to Final “As-Built” drawings for
appropriate fitting sizes. The Sample and Vent lines (heated optional) are
supplied by customer.
Ensure all appropriate fuses are removed before terminating any wir-
ing. Refer to the Fuse Legend on the inside of the analyzer’s Lower
Enclosure for locations of these fuses.
If parts of the sample system are not supplied by AMETEK, refer
to the appropriate instructions and drawings shipped with those
components.
Installing the Optional Heated Acid Gas Sample Probe
For information on installing the optional Heated Acid Gas (HAG) Sample
Probe, refer to the HAG Sample Probe Installation and Maintenance Guide.
If your application uses a Modular Acid Gas (MAG) Sample Probe,
refer also to the MAG Sample Probe Manual Supplement in the
Heated Acid Gas Sample Probe “Installation and Maintenance
Guide”.
