Start-Up Checklist
Review the installation chapter in the User’s Manual.
Install the sensor on the process.
- If the sensor is on the pipe nipple, insulate the pipe from the process
wall to the mounting flange on the sensor.
- Install the probe.
- Install the probe heater, if required.
- If the sensor is a floor mount configuration, the rear, insulated cover
must be installed and secured so the process sample remains hot.
This type of sensor requires a clean, dry instrument air supply for the
aspirator. Connect the air supply to the aspirator air supply inlet but
DO NOT turn on the air until the sensor is at operating temperature.
If the analyzer is turned off or the process is shut down, the aspirator
air should be turned off to avoid plugging problems.
Do not create any additional conduit entries in the enclosure.
Interconnect the control unit and the sensor per the appropriate inter-
connecting drawing.
- The specified cable must be used in order to insure proper operation
of the systems.
- Keep the interconnecting located in the control unit as short as pos-
sible. A service loop need not be used.
- Maintain the ordered wire pairs per the drawing.
Connect AC mains supply to the sensor. Make sure that the AC voltage
is within specified limits.
