Calibration: Hot Wire Type Combustibles Detector
If you have a Hot Wire-type detector, the zero gas display appears:

Press ENTER to Zero
Display line 2 will only appear if you have the combustibles option;
display line 3 will only appear if you have the combined combustibles
and methane option.
1. Press Enter when the zero gas reading(s) on the left of the display stabi-
lizes. The reading on the far right of the rst display line shows the setpoint
value you entered for the O
2
zero gas using the Cal Gas Values menu
option. This O
2
zero gas setpoint value should match the cal gas cylinder
for the O
2
zero gas.
You are also prompted to apply the combustibles span gas to the calibra-
tion gas inlet port of the sensor (tubing must be free of oil and dirt):

CANCEL to Abort
2. Press Enter when you have applied this calibration gas. You are prompted
to calibrate the combustibles span gas.
If you are calibrating a WDG-IVCM analyzer with a Hot-wire type
catalytic detector, you must have a separate combustibles span and
methane span calibration gas - see the “Mechanical Installation” sec-
tion in Chapter 3 for recommended calibration gases.
