Diopters
Small rings on the eyetubes, used to focus ocular
lenses (eyepieces).
Eye Guards
Eye Guards fit over the eyepieces, they are for
comfort and to protect the glass in the eyepiece.
Eyepieces
Eyepieces are also called ocular lenses. Eyepieces
come in many magnifications and you replace them
by swapping them out of the eyetubes.
The eyepieces magnify the specimen further from the
first magnification through the objective lens. Each
eyepiece is marked with 2 numbers. The first number
is the magnification and the second is the field of
view.
For example, an eyepiece marked WF10/20 has a
magnification of 10X and a field of view of 20mm.
Eyetubes
Eyetubes are also called ocular tubes. Eyetubes
house the eyepieces and camera adapters. You
change eyepeices by removing them from the
eyetubes and replacing them with the new ones.
