5.11 EXPANSION VESSEL
The expansion vessel absorbs primary circuit water expansion when there is a boiler temperature raise. It is
constituted by two parts separated by a SBR rubber membrane. On one side, it is an inert gas (nitrogen) and
on the other side, water of the primary circuit. The inert gas chamber (which can be compressed) absorbs
the water volume increased because of temperature raise.
The expansion vessel has been conceived for an approx. 175 litres heating system.
