2.1 I Operang principle
The heat pump uses the calories (heat) in the air to heat up your pool's water. The process to heat your pool's water to
the temperature you want may take a few days as it depends on the weather condions, the heat pump's power and the
dierence between the water temperature and the temperature you want.
The hoer and more humid the air, the beer your heat pump will perform. The outdoor parameters for opmal
operaon are an air temperature of 26°C, a water temperature of 26°C and 80% relave humidity.
Tip: to improve the heang and maintaining of your pool's temperature
Ancipate the commissioning of your pool far enough in advance before you use it.
When the temperature of the pool is increasing at the beginning of a season to reach the desired
temperature, set the water circulaon to connuous operaon (24/7).
To maintain the temperature throughout the season, run "automac" circulaon for the equivalent of the
water temperature divided by two (the longer this me, the more sucient the operang range of the
heat pump to heat the pool).
Cover the pool with a sheet (bubble canopy, canvas, etc.) to prevent heat loss.
Take advantage of a period with mild outdoor temperatures (on average > 10°C at night); it will be even
more eecve if it runs during the warmest hours of the day.
Keep the evaporator clean.
Set the temperature you want and let the heat pump run.
Connect the "Heang priority"; the ltraon pump and heat pump operang me will be set according
to requirements.
2.1.1 Precauons
Certain precauons must be taken to avoid damaging the condenser (for the precauons
specic to winterising, refer to § 3.1).
If the heat pump is subjected to extended exposure to negave outdoor temperatures
(excluding winterising period), you must:
- Acvate the ‘‘Heang Priority’’ opon: the ltraon pump will operate while the pool’s
temperature is below the heat pump’s setpoint temperature. If the setpoint is reached, the
pump will operate for 5 minutes every 120 minutes by default.
- Make sure that the pool’s ltraon pump is acvated at least every 4 hours if the ‘‘Heang
Priority’’ opon is not acvated on the heat pump.
