Answering system settings

Unless you change it, the answering system is on and ready to record
À¸ÆÆ´º¸Æ²ÂÈ¶´ÁÇÈÅÁÇ»¸´ÁÆʸżÁºÆÌÆǸÀÂæµÈÇ¼¹ÌÂÈ·ÂÆÂÇ»¸
answering system does not answer calls and record incoming messages.

Using a cordless handset:
1. When the handset is in idle mode, press MENU/SELECT to
enter the main menu.
2. Press TCID or SDIR to scroll to Answering sys, then
press
MENU/SELECT.
3. Press T
CID or SDIR to scroll to Answer ON/OFF,
then press
MENU/SELECT.
4. Press T
CID or SDIR to highlight On or Off, then
press
MENU/SELECT to save the setting. You hear a
confirmation tone.
When the answering system is on, the handset shows ANS ON.
Using the telephone base:
f Press /ANSWER ON to turn the answering
ÆÌÆǸÀÂÁÂÅÂæ¢¹Ç»¸´ÁÆʸżÁºÆÌÆǸÀ¼Æ
turned on, it announces, “Calls will be answered.” If
Ç»¸´ÁÆʸżÁºÆÌÆǸÀ¼ÆÇÈÅÁ¸·Âæ¼Ç´ÁÁÂÈÁ¶¸Æ
“Calls will not be answered.”

save the setting. You hear a confirmation tone.
Notes: If the answering system is off and there is an incoming call, the system answers after ten rings and
announces, “Please enter your remote access code.” For more information about remote access, see page 132.

