f If Smart call blocker is on, the first ring of all incoming calls will be muted.

all calls and asks callers to announce their names. We recommend that you
set up your directory, allow list and block list before using your telephone
with the Smart call blocker feature. See Block list on page 88 and Allow
list on page 93.
f If QUIET mode is on, all incoming calls will be sent to the answering system
even if Smart call blocker is on.
The Smart call blocker handles calls in the following ways:

The telephone rings when there is
an incoming call with number saved
in your allow list, or in your directory,
but not in your block list.
Unwelcome callers Block
The telephone does not ring when
there is an incoming call with number
saved in your block list, and the call
will be terminated.
