Using
Floppy
Disks
o
You
may
want
to
copy
or
move
files
between
an
MS-DOS
computer
and
the
UNIX
PC.
You
can
read
from
or
write
onto
most
MS-DOS
floppy
disks.
To
use
the
MS-DOS
data
files
with
your
UNIX
PC,
you
must
have
equivalent
applications
installed
on
both
computers
or
create
a
program
to
translate
the
data.
When
you
open
the
Floppydisk
object
from
the
Office,
you
see
the
following
window,
which
displays
all
of
the
Floppydisk
selections:

To
see
what
is
contained
on
a UNIX PC
floppy
disk,
you
must
insert
a
formatted
floppy
disk
into
the
floppy
disk
drive
and
choose
the
Display
Floppy
Contents
selection.
You
cannot
use
this
selection
to
display
the
contents
of
an
MS-DOS
floppy
disk
or
a UNIX PC
Backup
floppy
disk.
You
use
the
Format
Floppy
Disk
selection
to
format
a
new
UNIX PC
floppy
disk.
