Push the button Vertical to tilt the plate to the vertical position (90 degrees).
Push the button Horizontal to tilt the plate to the horizontal position (0 degrees).
In this STbench model, an additional motor moves the top plate. Two limit-switches ensure that the motor
stops when the limit positions are reached.
Before moving the top plate, ensure that no object is on it and no tool/adapter is placed on the trans-
ducers. Keep clear the area and do not touch the top plate while it is moving.
The motion of the top plate stops when the emergency button is pressed.
Time to tilt from horizontal to vertical position is less than 30 seconds
Wrench rig
The wrench rig is an optional accessory installed on the free side of the STbench top plate.
The main purpose of the wrench rig is applying torque to the wrenches under test in an easy and precise
way. In this way the wrench rig minimizes the contact stress and reduces excessive vibration, especially
for tests which apply high torques to the wrenches under test.
The wrench rig is a sliding system able to adapt to the length of each type of wrench.
Adjusting the wrench rig
1. Unlock the sliding system by turning counterclockwise the two fixing knobs.
2. Adjust the wrench rig depending on the length of the wrench under test.
3. Adjust the wrench rig bar by turning the handwheel.
Let the wrench rig bar be in touch only with the handle of the wrench. Never put the wrench rig
bar in touch with the body of the wrench.
4. Lock the sliding system by turning clockwise the two fixing knobs.
