The tool connected to Power Focus operates with the transducer (+existing application or mechanical
joint simulator), connected to the IRC-Connect via cable. The IRC-Connect is connected to STbench
via IRC-B.
Calibrating PowerMACS - General Information
Below is the list of the devices needed to calibrate a power tool with the PowerMACS:

Power MACS version: PowerMACS Classic / PowerMACS 4000 (for PowerMACS Classic, the mea-
surement unit must be N·m)
■
PowerMACS Classic minimum firmware version: 3.1.0
■
PowerMACS 4000 minimum firmware version: 10.9.1
■
Power tool
■
Serial cable (P/N 4145 0973 03 or P/N 4145 0974 03) for PowerMACS Classic / ACTA serial cable
for PowerMACS 4000 (P/N 4222 0546 03)
■
STbench with PC firmware version: 01.02x
■
IRTT-B / QRTT-B connected to a mechanical joint simulator
Connection generic configuration
A Power MACS Classic / 4000 B Serial cable / ACTA serial cable
C STbench with PC D Connection between the STbench with PC
and IRC-Connect
E IRC-Connect F Transducers (IRTT-B, QRTT-B) + existing
application or mechanical joint simulator
Connect the Power MACS spindle to the transducer (IRTT-B / QRTT-B). Then connect the transducer
(IRTT-B / QRTT-B) to the existing application or mechanical joint simulator.
The transducer capacity and the mechanical joint simulator capacity must be compatible with the torque
that calibrates the Power MACS spindle.
The possible configurations for the calibration are the following:

The spindle connected to PowerMACS operates with the transducer (+existing application or me-
chanical joint simulator), connected to the STbench via cable.
■
The spindle connected to PowerMACS operates with the transducer (+existing application or me-
chanical joint simulator), connected to the IRC-Connect via cable. The IRC-Connect is connected to
STbench via IRC-B.

Below is the list of the devices needed to calibrate a power tool with a generic controller:
