Getting Started
General Information
This section gives an outline of the steps necessary to setup a new STbench.
For additional technical assistance, contact your local Atlas Copco Customer Center.
Charging the battery
1. Check if the voltage indicated on the bench corresponds to the local mains voltage.
2. Turn the Battery Charger switch to 0.
3. Connect the bench to the power cable supplied with the bench. Then, connect the power cable to a
grounded electrical socket.
Only connect the STbench to an earthed wall socket.
4. Turn the Battery Charger switch to 1.
When the yellow LED – Active starts blinking, the charge process is in progress.
The batteries charging process goes on until the green LED – Charged is on.
Powering On the STbench

Press Start PC for powering on both the STbench with PC and the STbench with Docking Station. A
green light crown around Start PC button is always on during STbench operations.
In case of STbench with PC, Windows homepage appears: click QA Inspector icon to start the
STbench software.
Power saving mode
After 5 minutes of inactivity, the STbench moog, electrovalves and pump are disabled, switching to the
power saving mode.
Powering Off the STbench
To power off the STbench with Docking Station, press Stop PC.
Powering Off the STbench with PC
1. After closing QA Inspector software, tap the Windows button at the bottom left-hand corner of the
screen.
2. Tap Shut down.
