Calibrating Power Focus - General Information
Below is the list of the devices needed to calibrate a power tool with the Power Focus:
■
Power Focus version: Power Focus 3000 / Power Focus 4000 / Power Focus 6000 (for Power Focus
3000, the measurement unit must be N·m)
■
Power Focus 3000 / Power Focus 4000 minimum firmware version: 10.9
■
Power Focus 6000 minimum firmware version: 2.8
■
Power tool
■
STbench with PC firmware version: 01.02x
■
ACTA serial cable (only for Serial connection) or Ethernet cable (only for Ethernet connection)
■
Hydraulic brakes or SRTT-B / IRTT-B / QRTT-B connected to a mechanical joint simulator
Connection generic configuration
A Power Focus 3000 / 4000 / 6000 B Power tool
C Hydraulic brakes or Transducers (IRTT-B,
SRTT-B, QRTT-B) + existing application or
mechanical joint simulator
D IRC-Connect
E Connection between the STbench with PC
and IRC-Connect
F STbench with PC
G ACTA Serial cable / Ethernet cable
It is possible to connect the STbench with PC with the Power Focus either with a serial cable or the Ether-
net cable (see the schema above).
The transducer / mechanical joint simulator / brake capacity must be compatible with the Power Focus
programmed torque.
The possible configurations for the calibration are the following:

The tool connected to Power Focus operates directly with the hydraulic brakes of the STbench.
■
The tool connected to Power Focus operates with the transducer (+existing application or mechanical
joint simulator), connected to the STbench via cable.
