Updating Software
PT003 is compatible with mobile update. Mobile update is
the function to update the software of au cell phones.
There are several methods to update software.
• Manual update
• Automatic update
• Update after replacing micro au IC-Card
Regardless of the update method, au cell phone will
automatically reboot before updating the software, and then
reboot again after the software update.
Notes for Use of Software Update
• Software update is available free of charge.
• When software update is necessary, you will be informed
on au homepage, etc. For details, contact an au shop or
Customer Service Center (call toll-free 157). In addition,
users of the PT003 will receive a notice from au, when
software update is necessary to improve the functionality
of the PT003.
• Fully charge before update. If the update is started with
the battery power low or battery power becomes low
during update, software update cannot be done.
• Check the radio wave condition. Software update may fail
in poor reception area.
• Contents saved in this product, such as address book,
data folder, E-mails, C-mails, bookmarks, music data,
EZapps is not altered or lost by updating software.
However, depend on the state of your au cell phone, such
as malfunction, damage, water exposure, these contents
might not be protected.
