4. Troubleshooting
Code 5 305: “dmd green - temperature sensor short” (Error)
Situation Solution
Damaged wire unit o f the
temperature sensors (reference
2 image 4-24) w hich m easures the
temperature of the DMD of the green
channel.
1. Repair the wire unit.
2. If not repairable, replace the whole Light Processor Unit. Contact Barco for further
instructions to repair the malfunction Light Processor U nit.
Defect temperature sensor which
measures the temperature of the
green channel.
Replace the whole Light Processor Unit. C ontact Barco for further instructions to rep air
the m alfunction Light Processor Unit. It is too critical to r eplace this temperature sensor
in th e field. The replac ement o f this te mperature sensor must be done at factory or
at an authorized service center.
Code 5310: “lamp - temperature too high” (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 5311 : “lamp - temperature high”. The same troubleshooting table c an
be applied.
Code 5311: “lamp - temperature high” (Warning)
Situation Solution
Ambient temperature too high.
Check the ambient temperature at the air inlets of the projector. Make sure that the
ambient temperature does not ex ceed 35 °C (95°F).
Blocked filters. Check filters. Clean filthy filters o r replace with new ones .
Malfunction air extraction system. C heck customer a ir extraction sy stem for adequate extraction. Th e air extraction s ystem
must be capable of removing minimum 6,65 m³/min or 235 CFM per ins talled digital
projector.
Malfunction lam p anode fan or lamp
cathode fan.
Check the speed an d voltage of the lamp anode and lamp cathode fan. Repla
ce any
malfunction fan.
Code 5314: “lamp - temperature sensor open” (Error)
Situation Solution
Wire unit (reference 3 image 4-25)
of the temperature sensor is
disconnected from the Signal
Backplane.
Plug the wire unit of the temperature sen sor into its sock et on the Signal Backplane.
Disconnected wire ( reference
2image 4-25) units between S ignal
Backplane and temperature sensor
in the a ir outlet channel of the
projector.
Check the c onnection between the wire units. The connection is made behind the back
cover.
Damaged wire unit o f the
temperature se nsor (reference
1 im age 4-25).
1. Repair the wire unit.
2. If not repairable, r eplace the whole w ire unit and temperature sensor.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 1 image 4-25).
Replace the tem perature sensor. Temper ature sensor is visible through the air outlet
on top of the projector.
