Lamp temperature sensor connection
Code 5315: “lamp - temperature sensor short ” (Error)
Situation Solution
Damaged insulation of the wire unit
of the temperature sensor (reference
1 & 2imag e 4-25), whic h meas ures
the tem perature in the channel o f the
air outlet of the Lamp House. When
disconnecting the wire unit of the
temperature s ensor from the Signal
Backplane (reference 3 image 4-25)
the er ror c ode is changed to “lamp -
temperature s ensor open”.
1. Repair the insulation of the wire unit using shrink sleeve.
2. If not repairable, r eplace the whole w ire u
nit and temperature sensor.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 1 image 4-25), which
measures the temperature in the
channel of the air ou tlet of the Lamp
House. When disconnecting the wire
unit of the temp erature sensor from
the Signal Backplane (reference 3
image 4-25 the error code is changed
to “lamp - temperature sensor open”.
Replace the temperature s ensor.
Code 5320: “fcb - force lps/lamp off ” (Error)
Situation Solution
The Fan C ontrol & Motor board
forces to switch off the Lam p Pow er
Supply due to an Error.
Look for other errors in the log files and try to solve them.
This can b e due to:
• Overtemperature
• Lamp house not connected.
• Light pr ocessor is not connected.
Malfunction Fan Control & M otor
board.
Replace the F an Control & Motor board. See "Removing a board in the card cage",
page 213.
