BERNINA SEWING MACHINE WORKBOOK
BLIND HEM
1. Begin with a basted 2" hem as instructed on previous
page.
2. Select the Blind Stitch #9.
3. Attach the Blindstitch Foot #5 to the machine.
4. Fold the hem back to the right side over the basting
line, exposing the zigzagged edge of the fabric.
5. Sew on the extended hem allowance, keeping the
folded edge next to the guide on the foot.
6. Adjust the stitch width if needed so that the needle
barely stitches into the fold.
7. Unfold the fabric when nished, and notice that the
stitches barely show on the outside of the fabric.
Wool-like fabric or heavy flannel, 6” x 7”
