BERNINA STITCH REGULATOR PRACTICE
Use the BSR zigzag option to easily and quickly create
freehand embroidery designs, shade or accent fabric motifs,
and couch decorative bers. For more information, refer to
previous page and your machine manual.

1. Make a “quilt sandwich” with the batting between two
layers of fabric.
2. Attach the BERNINA Stitch Regulator to the machine
and select the BSR Zigzag stitch.
3. Select Mode 1 or 2 as desired. Adjust Presser Foot
pressure if needed. Lower the feed dog. NOTE: The B
880 PLUS does this automatically.
4. Using a fabric marker, trace or draw leaf shape (1) on
fabric, starting at the upper edge and drawing in one
continuous line.
5. Place the fabric under the BERNINA Stitch Regulator
foot.
6. Select the BSR straight stitch. Stitch the leaf shape,
tracing lines several times (2).
7. Select the BSR zigzag stitch. Shade the left side of the
leaf (3).
8. Experiment with different stitch lengths and widths,
making note of your preferences.
9. When stitching is complete, raise the feed dog to the
sewing position. (The B 880 PLUS will automatically
raise the feed dog when the BSR is removed.)
