6.7.2 Tare balancing for known tare values

Known tare
− When weighing a packaged PLU item, the tare value must be known
(package/PLU−related tare).
− In the case of multi−interval scales the known tare value must be
within the partial weighing range having the smallest scale interval
(country−related).
− A known tare value (entered) cannot be overwritten by an unknown
(weighed) tare.
− It may be entered in two different ways, i. e.
1. as a preset tare
2. via a PLU tare

In various countries, a preset tare is not allowed.

The scales should not be loaded. Weight value ”0.000” kg.
Press the <Tare> key.
The manual tare input is opened.
Enter the known tare value,
e.g. 0.500 kg.
Press the <Tare> key.
The tare value is accepted.
Tare and net weight value display.
