Do not use the BladderScan BVI9400 on:
• A patient who has open skin or wounds in the suprapubic area.
• A patient with ascites.
• A pregnant patient.

Potential patient hazard. To date, exposure to low‑power, pulsed diagnostic ultrasound
has not been shown to produce adverse effects. However, medical professionals should
use ultrasound only when clinically indicated, using the lowest exposure times possible to
obtain accurate measurements. The ultrasonic output of the BladderScan BVI9400 is not
user adjustable and is limited to the minimum level necessary for effective performance. For
