8 Startup Instrucons
Conrm the user has completed the BLU3 Fitness to Dive Evaluaon and is medically t to dive. Use of Nomad
without full compliance with the BLU3 Fitness to Dive Evaluaon may result in serious injury or death.
Conrm the user has read and understands this Owner’s - Users Manual in its enrety. Use of Nomad without
full understanding of this Owner’s - Users Manual may result in serious injury or death.
Using Nomad outside of its intended use as described in Secon 3.2 on Page 9 can allow water to enter the
breathing air supply and may lead to an out-of-air situaon. Prior to diving, always conrm that the weather and
condions are suitable for using Nomad.
Damage to the Baery case may allow water to leak into the baery which may result in system damage, re,
burns, and out-of-air hazards. Do NOT use a Baery with an outer case that has been damaged or shows signs
of damage.
Failing to complete the Component Inspecon Checklist (Table 8.1.1 below) may result in system failure during
the dive and result in an out-of-air situaon or water entering the breathing air supply. Always complete the
Component Checklist prior to diving with Nomad. If a problem exists, do not dive Nomad unl it has been
resolved. Failure to comply with these instrucons may result in serious injury or death.
Nomad must be operated while in water for cooling purposes. Allowing Nomad to run out of water for periods
of me longer than approximately twenty seconds will result in overheang and may cause permanent damage,
reduced air ow to the diver, contaminated air, and out-of-air hazards.
Do not disassemble or physically modify Nomad. Disassembly or modicaon to Nomad may increase the risk
of electrical shock, thermal, and other hazards which may lead to serious injury or death. Repair and disassembly
shall only be performed by BLU3.
