8 Startup Instrucons
Conrm the user has completed the BLU3 Fitness to Dive Evaluaon and is medically t to dive. Use of Nomad
without full compliance with the BLU3 Fitness to Dive Evaluaon may result in serious injury or death.
Conrm the user has read and understands this Owner’s - Users Manual in its enrety. Use of Nomad without
full understanding of this Owner’s - Users Manual may result in serious injury or death.
Using Nomad outside of its intended use as described in Secon 3.2 on Page 9 can allow water to enter the
breathing air supply and may lead to an out-of-air situaon. Prior to diving, always conrm that the weather and
condions are suitable for using Nomad.
Damage to the Baery case may allow water to leak into the baery which may result in system damage, re,
burns, and out-of-air hazards. Do NOT use a Baery with an outer case that has been damaged or shows signs
of damage.
Failing to complete the Component Inspecon Checklist (Table 8.1.1 below) may result in system failure during
the dive and result in an out-of-air situaon or water entering the breathing air supply. Always complete the
Component Checklist prior to diving with Nomad. If a problem exists, do not dive Nomad unl it has been
resolved. Failure to comply with these instrucons may result in serious injury or death.
Nomad must be operated while in water for cooling purposes. Allowing Nomad to run out of water for periods
of me longer than approximately twenty seconds will result in overheang and may cause permanent damage,
reduced air ow to the diver, contaminated air, and out-of-air hazards.
Do not disassemble or physically modify Nomad. Disassembly or modicaon to Nomad may increase the risk
of electrical shock, thermal, and other hazards which may lead to serious injury or death. Repair and disassembly
shall only be performed by BLU3.
