9.5.4 Out-of-Air Situaons
There are several reasons a diver may suddenly experience an out-of-air situaon. The diver must always
be prepared for a sudden and unexpected out-of-air situaon. Proper response to an out-of-air situaon is taught in
the BLU3 Online Dive Training Course and should be periodically pracced with a dive professional.
9.5.5 Weight Belts
A diving weight belt may be used to achieve neutral buoyancy underwater while diving using Nomad.
Pre-dive Checklist

Complete Nomad assembly and startup
Maintain awareness of Air Hose aachment to Dive Harness, posioning, entanglement, and damage risks
Prepare all other gear (mask, ns, weight belt, etc.) according to dive training and prociency
Follow the instrucons of your redundant air source, if applicable (e.g. SPARE AIR.com)
Baery energy planning - conrm Baery charge and esmated me of use

Do NOT hold your breath - this may disrupt air ow and result in serious injury or death
Remain aware of Low Baery Behavior feature causing pulsang sensaon
Weight belts may increase the risk of drowning hazards. Remove weight-belt at all mes except immediately at
the me of diving and always remain procient in using the weight belt’s quick-release mechanism. In the event
of an out-of-air situaon, the user must always be prepared to quick-release the weight belt.
The diver must always be prepared for out-of-air situaons. Failure to follow the instrucons of the BLU3 Online

pracce proper response to out-of-air situaons with a dive professional prior to diving.
