18. Conrm the Dive Harness is properly installed onto the Hose Aachment Point and properly aach the Dive
Harness to the user’s body. If you are wearing a redundant air source, aach it to the Dive Harness before

19. Turn the Smart Reg Knob to the ON posion by gently rotang it clockwise unl you feel it stop.
Conrm that the knob is fully rotated to the ON posion by conrming that the nger grooves on the
knob are poinng up and down.
Improper installaon of the Dive Harness may result in increased tension on the Smart Reg mouthpiece and
pull the mouthpiece out of the user’s mouth, resulng in out-of-air hazards. Always conrm the Dive Harness is
properly installed and aached to the user before operang Nomad. For instrucons on proper
assembly and donning of the Dive Harness, refer to Secon 7.6 on Page 21.
Paral rotaon of the knob into the ON posion will result in reduced or intermient air ow, which may lead
to out-of-air hazards. Ensure the knob is fully rotated to the clockwise direcon prior to diving and do not adjust
the knob while diving.
Always place Nomad in the water while diving. NEVER allow Nomad to run for extended periods outside of
water as this will cause overheang and may cause permanent damage, reduced air ow to the diver,
contaminated air, and out-of-air hazards. Always leave Nomad in the OFF posion or with the baery
disconnected when not in use and during transport.
