Troubleshooting

rake does not stop blade in
about 5 seconds.

. Brushes not seated or lightly
sticking or worn.
2. Motor overheated from use of
dull blade/too heavy of a blade,
not recommended accessory or
rapid on/off cycling.
3. Blade bolt loose.
4. Other.

Inspect/clean or replace
brushes (see Maintenance and
Lubrication section).
- Use sharp blade.
- Use a recommended blade.
- Let saw cool down.
- Tighten blade bolt.
- Authorized service.
Motor does not start. 1. Check that unit is plugged in.
2. Power source fuse or
time delay fuse.
3. Brushes worn.
4. Other.
- Plug unit in. Use different
outlet.
- 15-Amp time delay fuse or
circuit breaker.

in the Maintenance and
Lubrication section.
- Authorized service.
Flash of light from motor
endcap when switch is
released.
