Star topology:
In STAR topology all of the devices are connected to a centre star node. The network generated is simpler
and in the event of breakage of a branch of cable the rest of the system continues working without any
problems. The only problem is that the traffic must be carried through the star centre, thus loading the
transmission means with traffic. The large limitation of this topology are the very large amount of cable laid
to make the single connections and the critical importance of the star centre node. If the star centre fails,
the entire system breaks down.
Free topology:
Free topology includes all the positive characteristics of the single modes, minimizing the critical issues of
each.
