1.10 Vertical Lift Option Description
The Vertical Lift Option provides limited automated material handling capabilities on B452 and
B950 degreasers. It lowers the basket into the ultrasonic sump and dwells in the vapor and
freeboard zones for preset times to insure consistent cleaning and minimize solvent losses. It
operates on compressed air and consists of an air cylinder, guide track, support arm, basket hook
and all associated controls.
In the Automatic Mode, the lift uses the following cycle:
• Load basket onto hooks manually
• Open the cover (if equipped with a power cover.)
• Lower the parts into the ultrasonic tank
• Clean with or without ultrasonics for a specified time
• Rise to the vapor rinse positio
n
• S
pray from spray manifold (if installed) for a specified time.
• Hold for a specified time (vapor rinse)
• Rise to the freeboard zone
• Hold there for a specified time (freeboard dry)
• Rise to the load/ unload positio
n
• C
lose the cover (If equipped with a power cover.)
• Signal that the cycle is complete.
The lift may also be raised or lowered in the manual mode.
1.11 Dual Axis Lift Option
The Vertical Lift Option provides greater automated material handling capabilities for the B452
and B950 degreasers than the Vertical Lift Option. It will transport baskets through both the
boiling and ultrasonic sumps. It operates on compressed air and consists of horizontal and vertical
air cylinders, guide tracks, support arm, basket hook and all associated controls.
In the Automatic Mode, the lift uses the following cycle:
• Load basket onto hooks manually
• Open the cover (if equipped with a power cover.)
• Lower the parts to the vapor zone over the Boiling Sump
• Close the cover (if equipped with a working mode power cover)
• Spray for a specified time if the degreaser is equipped with spray manifolds over the Boilin

• Dwell for a specified time in the Vapor Zone over the Boiling Sump.
• Lower the parts into the Boiling Sump if the boiling sump dwell is greater than 0.
• Dwell for the specified time in the Boiling Sump.
• Move up to the Vapor Zone.
