2.4.2 Power Cover Option
The power cover will automatically open when the lift cycle is started (see Lift Option) or
when the TDR robot enters the degreaser (as directed by the TDR program.) It may also be
opened or closed in the manual mode.
Power covers used with dual axis lifts or TDR’s are in two pieces. The half over the ultrasonic
sump is fixed in position while the half over the boiling sump opens for inserting and
removing baskets. Both halves incorporate a slot so that the lift arm can move while
processing work with the cover closed. This is called a working mode cover. The slots contain
sliding inserts that can be manually closed when the lift is not being used.
If a single or dual axis lift option is installed, the manual open/close and auto/man
pushbuttons will be replaced by virtual switches on the operator interface (OIT) touch screen.
