B Series Degreaser Installation
Rev G Page 51
Note: The ultrasonics must be turned on at the degreaser control panel for the ultrasonics to operate.
3.15.5.1 Changing Immersion Sump Ultrasonics Auto-Mode
Press US ON (US OFF) to toggle the ultrasonics off (on). The button shows the current
ultrasonic status. Set ultrasonics (US) to ON to run the ultrasonics during the immersion
cycle. The ultrasonics will operate during the immersion portion of the cycle and will be
off at all other times.
3.15.6 Changing Final Spray Time
Set FINAL SPRAY to 0 if the degreaser is not equipped with spray manifolds installed over
the Ultrasonic Sump.
Set FINAL SPRAY to the time in seconds that the spray is to operate if the degreaser is
equipped with spray manifolds.
If the degreaser is not equipped with spray, the lift will pause during the spray portion of the
cycle.
Note: Spraying will significantly increase solvent emissions.
Note: The spray reservoir capacity is limited. Do not spray longer than 30 seconds. The total
spray duration is limited by the distillation rate of the degreaser. Do not spray more than
2 ½ minutes per hour.
3.15.7 Changing Final Vapor Dwell
Set the Final Vapor Dwell (FINAL VAPOR) to the amount of time required for the parts to
stop dripping in the vapor zone. Setting this time too short will result in higher emissions.
3.15.8 Changing Freeboard Level Dwell
Set the Freeboard Level Dwell (FREEBOARD DWELL) to at least half of the Vapor Dwell
time. Freeboard dwell allows the solvent that evaporates from the parts when they are
exposed to air to recombine with the vapor layer. Setting this time too short will result in
higher emissions.
3.15.9 Changing Drip Time
Set the Drip time (DRIP TIME) to the amount of time required for the parts to stop dripping
prior to unloading. Setting this time too short will result in higher emissions.
3.15.10 Changing Movement Alarm Timeout
Set the timeout alarm (TIMEOUT) to 10 seconds longer than the longest movement time. It
should require 20 seconds for the lift to descend at the start of the cycle if the lift speed is
properly adjusted. Check the speed both with and without a load. Setting this time too short
may cause spurious timeout alarms. Setting it too long will keep the fault messages from
indicating a fault condition.
3.15.11 Operating Ultrasonics Continuously
The ultrasonic mode is set on the MANUAL screen. To enter the MANUAL screen from the
Startup screen, press the MANUAL button on the left side of the STARTUP interface screen.
